Today's challenge in buildings: We spend 90% of our time indoors. Buildings represent 40% of all energy consumption. 30% of building mass does not contribute to our health in a positive way.
VELUX has devised a strategy to take part in developing sustainable buildings. Part of this strategy is the project Model Home 2020 - our vision for how we should construct future buildings that reflect the balance between energy design and living factor, thus creating optimal indoor climate through a dynamic building evelope which is climate neutral.
On the left is the recently opened Home for Life in Aarhus, Denmark which is the first of six buildings to be built by VELUX across Europe. Other locations for these buildings includes Copenhagen, Hamburg, Kettering, Vienna and Paris.
Currently the UK project is still in the early stages of development but please check for future updates.
