The VELUX Solar Hot Water System contains aesthetically pleasing roof-integrated solar collectors and complete tank system which can  typically provide up to 70% of the energy needed for a home's hot water requirements.

VELUX Solar collectors are installed using standard VELUX flashings and can be integrated alongside VELUX roof windows. With typical installations, the collectors should be placed in a shadow-free, south facing roof with the required area of 1m2 per person.

Specifying the cylinder near the collectors minimises heat loss. The solar cylinder is compatible with most types of auxiliary heating, such as gas, oil or solid fuel boilers. If these are not available then the cylinder can be supplied with an immersion heater to provide hot water when there is little or no solar gain.
