Corporate and Social Responsibility

The foundation of social responsibility in the VELUX Group is the Model Company Objective. It has always been a fundamental principle within the VELUX Group that we aim for the company to be a good corporate 'citizen', conducting itself responsibly towards the public domain, the environment and our employees.

Local society

Through the Employee Foundation of the VKR Group, the VELUX Group's companies support activities that make a difference to their neighbouring local communities.

Employees

VELUX aspires to treat its employees better than most other companies. Special measures implemented primarily through on-site initiatives include a commitment to employee training, initiatives to retain employees with long-term health problems, the provision of an inclusive workplace and activities to improve employee health.

VELUX Code of Conduct

With the VELUX Code of Conduct we want to encourage commitment to responsible manufacturing between VELUX and our suppliers. The purpose of the Code of Conduct is to make sure that all our products are manufactured in a way that characterises us as a company acting responsible in relation to all of our stakeholders.

VELUX Foundations

The founder of the VKR Group, Villum Kann Rasmussen, instigated the Villum Kann Rasmussen Fonden in 1971, and ten years later set up the VELUX Fonden. Both foundations operate with a wide-ranging charitable mission, providing financial support for large-scale projects in aid of scientific, artistic, cultural and social causes.
